A Little Lip Color for an Ordinary Tuesday

You have a lipstick you like. It lives in the drawer, in the shallow tray with the hair clips and the nail file, and you could put your hand on it without looking because it has not moved in a while.
This week is a dentist appointment and a stop at the pharmacy. Your sister calls on Thursday morning and you take it on the porch with the second cup of coffee. Friday is groceries, then the recycling, then somebody at the door about gutters.
None of that opens the drawer.

A tint that begins on the lip rather than in the tube

On your own mouth, in your own bathroom, on an ordinary morning with the kettle on, which is the light you were going to be looking at it in anyway.
